People often ask me why do I work so hard? Well it is a personal choice but in my kind of business of selling knowledge and empowerment, continuous learning is the key apart from adapting to new business environment and technology. It is also about competing with my competitors who are all fighting in the same space. I was very fortunate that from a very young age, I was surrounded by people who love to work very hard and that became my norm – my blue print. One such person was my late father who used to work very hard. Although he had passed away many years ago, he is still my mentor and many people including my clients and followers will hear stories of my father and his life. He was not just a very handsome man (very good looking man – a Bangladeshi Prince) but his charismatic characteristics could light up a dark room.
Balance is the key for my mental and health well being so I also play hard – I have my daily routines of keep fit workout times, time with my kids, cooking, cleaning, gardening and fooling around with my close friends around the world (of course on technology based platforms as face to face meetings are literally impossible with the Covid era).
Now being and Islamic Social entrepreneur isn’t for everyone. It often takes years of hard work, long hours, and no recognition to become successful. A lot of entrepreneurs give up, or fail for other reasons, like running out of money. However remember: “Success is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration” .
