Abbie Rumbold, partner at Bates Wells Braithwaite (UK), UK’s leading law firm with head-quarter in the heart of London. She is world leader in social enterprise from the legal side. She was seconded to the UK government to work on the legislation and drafted the model constitutions, she continues to have an active role in its development.
She chaired my panel session entitled: Social investment – approaches focussed on inclusive economic growth. She is such an amazing person and I would love to partner with her and her firm.
My stage colleagues were world class social investors, many in charge of the largest social investment funds in their countries.
- Nicola Steuer, School for Social Entrepreneurs (UK)
- Adrian Appo, First Australians Capital (Australia),
- Nigel Kershaw, Big Issue Invest (UK) and
- Alastair Davis, Social Investment Scotland (Scotland).
They are all best of the best in the world.
So honoured to have been part of this panel. The interest in Islamic Social Entrepreneurship was huge.
